Call of Duty Font Generator

What font is the Call of Duty logo?

The series has used several marks, but the constant is a condensed military capital — flat terminals, minimal curves, and on most entries a stencil break cut through the strokes.

Recent titles have dropped the stencil in favour of a plain condensed bold, so the answer depends on which game you have in mind.

The fonts here

  • Rothwell Army is the closest to the stencil-era logos, with the breaks already cut into the letters.
  • Rothwell is the same design without the stencil, matching the more recent titles.
  • Mesmerize Cd Bd is a clean condensed bold for subtitles and interface text.

All three are free to download and use, including commercially.

Where the style comes from

Stencil letters exist because a stencil has to hold together — the breaks are structural, not decorative, keeping the middle of an O from falling out when the plate is cut.

Military packaging used them everywhere, so the form carries the association automatically. That is why the stencil break does more work than the specific proportions.

Setting it well

  • Condense hard; the logos are much narrower than a default bold
  • If you add wear, keep it at the edges — evenly distressed letters look like a filter rather than use
  • Desaturated olive or grey on black is closer than pure white, which reads as sport rather than military

Frequently asked questions about the Call of Duty Font

Is the Call of Duty Font free to download?

Yes. Rothwell Army, Rothwell, and Mesmerize Cd Bd are free to download on this page. Check each designer's terms before commercial use.

Is this the exact font used for Call of Duty?

Not exactly. The original lettering was custom drawn or is not publicly licensed, so the fonts here are close recreations. Rothwell Army is the nearest match we have found.

Can I use the Call of Duty Font commercially?

Treat that as two separate questions. The font file needs a licence that permits commercial use, which is set by whoever made it. Separately, the brand name, logo and characters are trademarks, so recreating a logo can infringe even with a properly licensed font. For merchandise or client work, check both.

How can I preview the Call of Duty Font with my own text?

Type anything into the generator on this page and it renders instantly in the real font file, then exports a transparent PNG. Nothing you type leaves your browser. Our font generator at https://whatfontfinder.com/font-generator/ does the same across the whole library.

What file format is the Call of Duty Font?

You will get OTF files, which install on Windows, macOS, Linux, and work in Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Figma and Cricut Design Space.

What if I am not sure which font an image uses?
