Korn is an American band that plays nu-metal, a music genre combining elements of heavy metal, alternative rock, hip-hop, and industrial. Korn was formed in 1993 by three members of the band L.A.P.D., James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, and Brian “Head” Welch, whose vocalist Jonathan Davis and drummer David Silveria joined. Korn is known for their distinctive image, aggressive music, and chaotic live shows.
